"The association is an independent, non-partisan organization and operates as a group of medicals in close cooperation with 'Amnesty International' Austria. Our group consists of Austrian-Iranian doctors and other medical professionals, and it was formed in solidarity with the victims of the violent suppression of peaceful protests in June 2009. 'IRANMED.AT' fights for the rights of all those who advocate for a democratic and secular state on the ground. With all our resources, the support of many local helpers, and in collaboration with other Iranian human rights activists, freedom fighters, and parliamentary institutions in Austria, we continue to strive to be the voice of the Iranian people."
